Almost Bought is a personal shopping-cooldown app. It is built to work almost entirely on your device, and this policy explains exactly what that means.

What we collect

• Nothing that identifies you. Almost Bought has no account, no sign-in, and no name, email, or phone number is ever requested or stored.
• Items you save. When you share a product link into the app, its URL, name, price, and image are stored locally on your device (in an on-device database) so the app can show your holds and decisions. This data is never sent to us.
• Anonymous usage analytics. The app generates a random installation ID and may log basic, non-identifying events (e.g. "item held," "theme changed," "cooldown completed") to help us understand how the app is used. These events never include your name, account, product URLs, or product names — only categories like store name, price, and counts. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
• We don't run ads or ad-tracking SDKs.
• We don't require or use any account system.
• We don't upload your saved items, product lists, or browsing activity to any server.

Network requests

When you share a product link into Almost Bought, the app fetches that page directly from your device in order to read its price, name, and image — the same way opening the link in a browser would. This request goes straight to the retailer's website, not through any Almost Bought server, because there is no Almost Bought server.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device (e.g. to tell you when a cooldown period ends). No notification content is sent to or generated by a remote server.

Data deletion

You can delete all locally stored data at any time from Settings → "Delete all local data." Because nothing is stored off-device, this permanently and immediately removes your data.

Children's privacy

Almost Bought is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
